Creative Notes This archway is over a window on the Dome of the Rock. The passage written in the tiles is from the Koran. What impressed me most about this image was the meticulous detail and the beautiful rich blue in which it was done. It was cropped to center the arch and to fill the frame with more of the detailed work.
Technical Notes This photograph was a relatively simple capture. It was taken on a bright day but the entire archway was in the shadows, so exposure was not a problem. I was on a walking tour so he didn't have much time to compose, so I just did my best to center the image and cropped it afterward. |
